The Right to Education task force is mandated to have 51% of its
members be either
parents of children with disabilities or the consumers
themselves.
We currently have over 27 voting
members, plus numerous other supporter
and proffesional affiliates who regularly attend
meetings.
We are parents, self advocates, school district personnel,
advocates, agency representatives and others.
We are of all ages, races and religions;
We come from all parts of Philadelphia, and differing
economic and professional backgrounds
It is this diversity that feeds the need for voices from all walks
of life,
so the children can best be served
To become a voting member, you must attend 3 consecutive
meetings or task force Events, and be voted in by the current members
You can also attend our meetings and become a supporter at any time, or
serve
on any of our committee.
