We're Back!
Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, our E-Digest is up and running again after significant technical difficulties after a hacking. We have lots of announcements, and to best get all the details make sure to check out our updated web site at www.philadelphialtf.org.
On it you will find the forms to nomination for our annual awards. We have the Crystal Stair Award for one Teacher of Students with Intellectual Disabilities or Multiple Disabilities and a Teacher of Autistic Support. Our Beacon of Light Award Ceremony also is accepting nominations for Teacher of the Year, Paraprofessional of the year and Advocate of the year as well as awards for students with Disabilities in all grades through transition. And our newest award will seek to recognize an entire school for exemplary Least Restrictive Environment practices.
Want more? Some upcoming events include our 4th annual Autism Awareness Day with the Phillies at 3:55 PM on 4/19/08 against the mets.

Our next regular meeting is March 27, 2008 when we will have our yearly Dispute Resolution session with special education attorney Caryl Oberman and School District Council Kimberly Caputo. And, keep you eyes out for more special events such as regional training on your educational rights in April and a Special Least Restrictive Environment training on May 15th at the School Districts’ Education Center presented by Parent Involved Network -- Parents and all professionals are welcome.
