September is here and we're back!
Hard to believe It is already September! With a late start to school, and a change of guard at the District, you can expect things will hardly be boring this year! It may have taken a while, but yes, folks, the website is now updated! Go to www.philadelphialtf.org and make sure to click on our on-going goals for 2007/8 and on 'meetings' to see our brand new, beautifully made flyers thanks to the Office of Communication.
In other news the Task Force's Back to School Kick-Off is on Thursday, September 20th, 2007. We are at the ARC of Philadelphia at 2350 W Westmoreland with a meet and greet from 9:30AM-10AM and meeting from 10-12. Get the scoop on the changes in the District -- from Regions and case managers, to new CEO and a new SRC Chair! Hear what the Task Force plans for 07/08 and get ready to apply for High school and understand the procedures when you have a child with a disability and the implications of Legare. Then, Kathy Donahue, our special Guest from the Office of Specialized Services will give a presentation on Understanding the IEP, based on a guide written exclusively for Philadelphia by Philadelphian staff.
If that's not enough, we have give-a-ways, while they last! So, prepare your kid's for the first day and come on down and see us on the 20th -- Hope to see you all there!
