The ADA Restoration Act of 2007 !
due to Supreme Court decisions in the years since the ADA was passed, it is no longer clear that people with some kinds of disabilities are "disabled enough" to be covered by the ADA. People with disabilities like epilepsy, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, cancer, hearing loss and mental illness, who manage their disabilities with medication, prosthetics or hearing aids are no longer protected against discrimination at work. And people who have been fired because their employer mistakenly thought that they couldn't do the job, or didn't want "people like that" in the workplace, also are not covered.
The ADA Restoration Act of 2007 was just introduced with strong bipartisan support to restore the promise of the ADA and to protect all people with disabilities from discrimination at work, just as Congress intended. Please help restore the ADA.
